It’s only fitting that Philadelphia, the city where the Declaration of Independence was signed, has just hosted what might’ve been the best July 4th party in the whole country: Mayor Michael Nutter getting up on stage with hip-hop band The Roots, to perform the 1979 classic “Rapper’s Delight.”

The real question after this: In the future, will Mayor Nutter ever finish a press conference by dropping the microphone?
